♡ Doc Martens x Lazy Oaf 2018 Buckle Boot Collab: REVIEW ♡

March 29, 2018 was a day that changed my life. I was scrolling through Instagram, minding my own business when I clicked on the "Discover" tab and saw this post.

Instantly I knew I HAD to have them. I ended up missing the release date, but the heart wants what it wants. Long story short, I tracked down a pair of the black boots in my size from Depop! If you've ever had docs you know to size down and these are no different. I've had these bad boys for about a week now, and let me tell you, I am still in love. 

According to Dr. Martens' website, this boot is made with Hi Suede, a traditional suede that's water-resitant, and nickel buckles. The sole is the classic Docs air-cushioned sole with a 1.5" platform and 2" heel. They came in the classic Dr. Martens box covered in cute little black hearts all over.

I gambled my life and wore them for the first time to a five hour shift at a retail store. I found them to be really comfortable to stand and walk around in. The first ever pair of Docs that I ever owned I probably wore maybe five times in the first four years that I had them because I came home crying everyday from the pain of trying to break that in (now that they're broken in though they are so comfortable and I love them so much I can't believe I didn't just suck it up and broke them in sooner). But these were soft and cushiony and I never wanted to take them off! I got compliments from all of my coworkers and even some customers. Also, being a 5' 3" gal I definitely don't mind the height boost!

I would have to say I only have two gripes with these shoes. I'm not the biggest fan of the suede material. I personally feel like that limits their wearability, especially with summer coming just around the corner. Still gonna wear em tho. The other is that I almost, sort of, kind of wish there was a zipper on the inside of the boot. To get them on and off you have to unbuckle and buckle all three of them. If I'm being honest, it honestly takes like one minute and I'm just being lazy.

Long story short, I 10/10 recommend. I love these boots so much. They're so unique and fun and will make any outfit feel like your "take over the world" look.  If you have the chance to get your hands on these babies, do it!
